Binance Pizza Day 2025 commemorates the 15th anniversary of the first real-world Bitcoin transaction. On May 22, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz made history by spending 10,000 BTC to buy two pizzas, highlighting Bitcoin’s first practical use. To celebrate this moment, Binance is hosting a global event filled with crypto rewards, community activities, and educational fun from May 15 to May 28, 2025.

The centerpiece of the celebration is a massive $5 million BTC giveaway. Binance users can participate by referring friends to the platform. Each successful referral unlocks a “Pizza Box” that contains up to $20 in BTC for both the referrer and the new user. The top 100 referrers will receive additional bonuses, with the highest referrer winning $5,000 in BTC.

In addition to referrals, Binance is running a special social campaign on Binance Square. Users can earn rewards by creating posts using the hashtag #BinancePizza, sharing their trading activity, and completing simple engagement tasks. New users can also win from a 5,000 USDC reward pool and collect Binance Points for future benefits.

Binance is also promoting its mining platform, Binance Pool, through a referral competition. From May 22 to June 22, users who refer BTC miners can compete for a 2,000 USDC prize pool, with rewards going to the top contributors based on total referred mining power.

To bring the celebration offline, Binance is hosting pizza parties and meetups in major cities worldwide, including Dubai, Buenos Aires, Johannesburg, Bordeaux, and others. Attendees can enjoy free pizza, games, giveaways, and connect with fellow crypto enthusiasts.

A special livestream on May 22 will feature discussions with Binance leaders and crypto experts about Bitcoin’s evolution and the future of digital finance.
