The leading cryptocurrency has advanced 40% in just over a month, due to increased institutional buying in the US and a strengthening of regulatory prospects for digital issuances.
Bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency and accounts for half of this market.
The price of Bitcoin surpassed USD 109,487.23 this Wednesday to reach a new all-time high, driven by an increase in institutional buying and a strengthening of regulatory prospects for cryptocurrencies. The token climbed 40% since it fell to around USD 76,000 in early April, as the overall market recovered after US President Donald Trump partially reversed his tariff policy.
"I think the market is now in buy-the-dip mode, whereas a couple of months ago, the market was certainly in sell-the-rally mode," Sean Farrell, head of digital asset strategy at Fundstrat, told Yahoo Finance.
