What is Haedal Protocol?
Haedal Protocol is the first liquid staking protocol built on the Sui blockchain, allowing users to stake SUI tokens to participate in transaction validation and network governance. When staking SUI, users receive haSUI — a type of liquid staking token (LST) representing ownership of the staked SUI. haSUI has the ability to accumulate profits over time and can also be used in other DeFi protocols to optimize returns.
Haedal is currently the leading liquid staking protocol on the Sui ecosystem, with TVL reaching nearly 200 million USD (according to DefiLlama as of the end of April 2025).
How does Haedal Protocol work?
Basic operational process of Haedal Protocol:
Stake SUI: Users deposit SUI into the Haedal protocol.
Receive haSUI: In return, users receive haSUI.
Validator & Rewards: Haedal uses staked SUI to become a validator, earning staking rewards.
Increase the value of haSUI: Staking rewards increase the redeemable value of haSUI over time.
Participate in DeFi: Users can use haSUI in DeFi products to increase profits.
APR from staking SUI currently stands at about 4.1%, with a 10% fee on staking rewards collected by Haedal.
Products of Haedal Protocol
1. Stake
Stake on Haedal
Users can stake SUI tokens (or native staked SUI) through Haedal.
Haedal offers 2 staking methods:
Automated: Haedal automatically selects the best pool for users.
Manual: Users freely choose staking pools based on APY.
After staking, users receive haSUI, which can be used to earn additional interest or participate in DeFi.
2. DeFi Integration
DeFi Application on SUI
Haedal Protocol is actively expanding haSUI into DeFi products within the Sui ecosystem, specifically:
Providing liquidity: haSUI/SUI on Cetus DEX and Turbos Finance.
Borrowing/Lending: On lending platforms like Navi.
Yield Farming: Through Mole and other farming protocols.
Vault Deposit: Deposit haSUI/SUI into the vault on Cetus.
APR for these activities ranges from 0.1% to 17%, depending on the pool and platform.
3. Haedal Random Vault
Vault on Haedal
An exciting staking minigame, where users stake SUI into the vault for a chance to win weekly haSUI rewards.
Winning rate depends on the amount of SUI staked.
Users can withdraw funds at any time before the game round starts (1% withdrawal fee).
Key features of Haedal Protocol
First Liquid Staking on Sui: Exploiting the potential of the LSDfi (Liquid Staking Derivatives) market.
Yield-Bearing Token: haSUI increases in value over time without needing to unstake.
Diverse DeFi applications: Utilizing haSUI in lending protocols, DEX, yield farming.
Integration with multiple partners: Cetus, Turbos Finance, Navi, Mole.
Engaging Vault Minigame: Provides a staking experience that is both rewarding and entertaining.
Haedal Protocol Tokenomics
Haedal Protocol has not disclosed detailed tokenomics yet.
Users are currently only working directly with SUI and haSUI — the token representing staked assets in the ecosystem.

Development Roadmap
Currently, the official roadmap of Haedal Protocol includes:
Expanding haSUI integration into more DeFi platforms within the Sui ecosystem.
Increasing TVL to higher levels.
Updating vault products, optimizing staking rewards and DeFi.
Expected to launch additional validator staking mechanisms and new farming pools in the future.

Insights on Haedal Protocol
Haedal Protocol is effectively leveraging the growing narrative of Liquid Staking in the DeFi market. As the first liquid staking project and leading TVL on Sui, Haedal possesses:
Diverse product ecosystem (staking, DeFi, minigame vault).
Deep integration with key DeFi protocols on Sui.
Strong TVL growth in less than a year.
However, the project also needs to soon announce more information about tokenomics, core team, and long-term plans to maintain growth momentum in the upcoming competitive LSDfi season.
Summary
Haedal Protocol is establishing itself as an important piece in the Sui ecosystem, especially in the Liquid Staking space. By providing haSUI as a flexible yield-bearing token and extensive integration into DeFi protocols, Haedal not only opens up opportunities to optimize profits for investors but also contributes to the overall growth of the Sui ecosystem.
