What truly deserves social support are those "over-birth guerrillas" who, under the pressure of oppressive policies, insisted on having children. The situation of one-child/childless families is not one of innocent victimhood, but rather a consequence of complying with oppressive policies. They face a lonely and helpless old age, which is certainly pitiful, but essentially is the result of their choices. In contrast, those families who have had more children have paid a price far beyond that of ordinary people, yet have not received any "rewards" for it. When discussing the roots of suffering, such families are not direct victims of the policies, but rather compliant supporters.
