Foresight News reports that Circle has officially launched the Circle Payments Network (CPN) mainnet. This network is a blockchain-based payment coordination protocol that allows banks and payment service providers to settle in real time using USDC on a public blockchain. The Circle Payments Network supports features such as business-to-business vendor payments, cross-border remittances, fund management, corporate recurring payments, and payroll and bulk payments. The first mainnet participants include Alfred, Tazapay, ConduitPay, and RedotPay, which will open stablecoin payment channels in Latin America and Asia.
