🔸Solana $SOL is planning a giant upgrade that could change everything for them. They want transactions to be almost instantaneous, something that no other blockchain really achieves.

To achieve this, they are going to scrap what they currently have (Proof of History and Tower BFT, which are somewhat slow and complex) and implement a new system called Alpenglow. This new system has two parts: Votor to confirm transactions super fast (they claim in less than 1 second) and Rotor to send data more efficiently.

If this works, it means that on Solana, things that are currently impossible on other blockchains can be done, such as games that respond instantly, real-time finance, or super fluid social networks. And of course, if more people use Solana for these things, the demand for the SOL token could skyrocket!

There is still no date, but this is a big step for Solana if they want to continue being the fastest blockchain.
