Odaily Planet Daily News Astar Network announced a strategic partnership with Animoca Brands, a leading company in blockchain gaming and digital ownership. Astar provides channels and resources from Japanese and Korean government enterprises and third-party IP resources, while the latter makes a strategic investment in Astar Network to jointly promote the construction of the Web3 entertainment ecosystem. It is reported that Animoca Brands has invested in over 540 Web3 projects, and this investment reflects its optimism about the integration potential of Asian entertainment IP and blockchain. The first phase of cooperation will launch two major projects: the Anime ID identity system based on Moca Network, deployed on the Soneium chain, to achieve a smooth transition for users from Web2 to Web3; and the Anime Art Fest digital art platform, which provides NFT development, fan economy operation, and other services for IP copyright holders, initially introducing well-known Japanese animation IP. The native token ASTR of the Astar ecosystem plays a key role in the cooperation, not only as a medium of exchange but also supporting ecological projects through a developer incentive program. In addition, both parties will open IP resources and plan to jointly launch an 'Asian Entertainment IP Fund.' With the implementation of Japan's Web3 promotion law, the cooperation between Astar and Animoca Brands is expected to set a new paradigm for the industry. Both parties plan to complete the on-chain deployment of more than 10 leading IPs by 2025 and upgrade the Soneium mainnet to enhance network performance.
