Genesis Global Capital has sued its parent company, Digital Currency Group (DCG), to recover more than $1.2 billion in alleged "preferential payments" made a year before its bankruptcy filing.

The lawsuit claims that DCG, its founder Barry Silbert, and its affiliates moved $582 million in cryptocurrencies and more than $1.2 billion in total during Genesis's insolvency, and seeks to recover the transfers under bankruptcy law.
