SG Forge, a subsidiary of the French bank Societe Generale, will issue the first dollar stablecoin issued by a bank on the Ethereum network, aimed at institutional investors to meet the European Union's demand for regulated digital liquidity.
It plans to expand the currency to other blockchain technologies like Solana.
