The crypto community initiated a heated discussion in the comments section, taking guesses as to what that transaction signified under the current market conditions, and whom that anonymous sender and receiver might prove to be.

The details shared by the XRPscan tracker showed that while the sender was indeed an anon wallet, the destination was a crypto address linked to major cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com, with offices around the world and headquarters located in Singapore.

Ripple issues major scam warning

Earlier today, Ripple blockchain behemoth issued a scam warning on its official social media X account. The company warned users that rapidly developing AI technology now allows scammers to post images and even videos (using first deep-fake tech and now quickly improving AI tools) impersonating high-end crypto influencers, including Elon Musk, top U.S. politicians, founders of various major crypto platforms (Binance, Cardano) and Ripple executives.

Ripple’s post underscored that neither Ripple nor any of its leaders (CEO Garlinghouse, President Monica Long or CTO David Schwartz) would ever ask the community to send them private data or any cryptocurrency in order to receive double that amount back later.

As reported by U.Today recently, the Binance cofounder and former CEO, CZ, tweeted that he saw an AI-generated video of himself where even his voice was so well reproduced that it was hard for CZ himself to tell if it was a real video or a fake one.
