Halving is an event in the Bitcoin blockchain where the reward for mining a block is reduced by half.
It occurs every 210,000 blocks (approximately every 4 years). This process is built into the Bitcoin protocol to limit the total number of BTC to 21 million coins and slow inflation.
Main consequences of halving:
🔵 Reward reduction: After halving, miners receive fewer bitcoins per block.
🔵 BTC scarcity: A reduction in supply increases scarcity.
🔵 Price impact: Historically, halving is often accompanied by an increase in the price of Bitcoin.
