#GENIUSAct In a new round of voting, stablecoins received preliminary approval with the GeniusAct bill in the US Senate.
For those who don't know, stablecoins are cryptocurrencies, usually pegged to the US dollar, that allow users to enter and exit digital asset trades without the need to convert to fiat currencies.
They are also used to facilitate international payments and remittances. The expectation is that, with the approval of legislation on stablecoins, Wall Street giants that have been hesitant until now will enter the sector en masse, injecting billions — or even trillions — of dollars into the cryptocurrency market.
