Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, presented on Monday (19) a new roadmap for Ethereum's scalability. According to him, the proposal aims to increase the gas limit without compromising decentralization and the ability of users to operate full nodes. Buterin emphasized that the solution involves the creation of 'partially stateless nodes'.

Partially stateless nodes allow validators to verify blocks and the entire blockchain without storing all the data. These nodes utilize stateless verification or zkEVM in order to maintain a selected subset of the data instead of the complete set. In this way, they can respond to requests related to specific data, preserving efficiency.
