Equal footing at Ballon d’Or 2025 – Ceremony scheduled for September 22 In Paris

France Football and UEFA have confirmed that this year’s Ballon d’Or gala will take place on September 22 in Paris. The ceremony will feature a balanced set of trophies — six each for men and women — including new women’s categories for best goalkeeper, young player, and top scorer.

The Socrates Award remains gender-neutral, honouring players’ work in solidarity. Finalist lists will be released in early August.
