Solana really dropped the ball with gaming. Had a captive audience. But it allowed new competitors like Abstract to quickly capture market share. Good thing that Critters Quest is working on cross chain compatibility. And this includes EVM (like Abstract). The Fortnite of crypto.

Wolf Game had some cool and novel mechanics, but was not designed for longevity. Only after it took off in initial popularity did the devs seek to build a game around it. On the other hand, Critters Quest is being built from the ground up with sensible and sustainable tokenomics.
