On May 19, Metaplanet—a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange—continued expanding its Bitcoin asset reserve strategy by announcing the purchase of an additional 1,004 BTC, with a total value of approximately ¥15.195 billion JPY. The average purchase price per Bitcoin in this latest acquisition was around ¥15.13 million.
With this latest purchase, Metaplanet’s total Bitcoin holdings have risen to 7,800 BTC. On average, the accumulated purchase price of all Bitcoin held by the company now stands at approximately ¥13.51 million per BTC. This indicates that Metaplanet is pursuing a long-term Bitcoin accumulation strategy and holds strong conviction in the growth potential of this digital asset.
