Today is the day to officially check the airdrops. As someone who has previously contributed to the project by cross-chain, changing usernames, and promoting on Twitter, I thought I had made a contribution. I excitedly went to check, but saw only two lonely tokens. Many friends in the group are in the same situation, with only a few tokens each.. ☠️

We thought everyone was more or less the same, but on Twitter and Binance Square, we see many big Vs showcasing their achievements. They easily earned thousands or tens of thousands, and through discussions with peers, I learned that project parties determine contribution based on Kaito's rankings, which then leads to distributions. This made me feel that all my efforts were ignored, and I felt extremely angry 💢.

Well then, today let’s take a look at how these platforms are draining ordinary users dry!

1. Point rules are unclear, ordinary users are left out

As an ordinary user, I excitedly joined the Yaps program, wanting to post some content to earn points. What’s the outcome? The point system is completely incomprehensible! I stayed up late writing a post full of valuable content, only to receive a few points, while big Vs casually post 'Good morning' and earn a fortune in points. The platform doesn't explain how points are calculated at all, and ordinary users like me are completely ignored, I’m losing my mind.

Harm: Spending time writing good content but getting no return, ordinary users' mentality explodes, they simply don’t want to play anymore.

2. Eccentric big V, ordinary users have no way out

Their leaderboard claims to be a fair competition, but when I look, it's all big Vs' territory! They already have many fans, casually posting gets them a bunch of likes and shares, and their points soar. As an ordinary user, no matter how good my content is, no one sees it. Getting on the leaderboard? Don’t even think about it! The platform's algorithm clearly favors big Vs with traffic, and we small users have no chance to stand out.

Harm: Ordinary users are pushed into corners, the platform is all about 'traffic is king', it's simply unfair.

3. Flood of meaningless content, why is it so hard to find useful information?

Since Yaps came along, my X timeline is full of '@KaitoAI'

Deep analysis”, but when I click in, it’s all useless fluff articles, and the comments section is full of ‘awesome’ ‘valuable content’ mutual praise. I just want to find some useful crypto information, but I’m overwhelmed by this garbage content, and the platform doesn’t care, it’s so frustrating!

Harm: All information is noise, finding reliable content is harder than climbing to the sky, the experience on platform X is terrible.

4. Score cheating runs rampant

I noticed some people are scoring points like crazy, with the comments section filled with 'reply' 'reply', and small groups liking each other’s posts, rapidly increasing their points and airdrop rewards (like the KAITO token in February 2025). As an honest poster, where do I get the resources to score points? I can only watch these 'cheaters' collude, it's incredibly frustrating.

Harm: Those who score points steal rewards, ordinary users get nothing, where's the fairness?

5. Ordinary users work hard for nothing, but feed traffic to big Vs.

I spend time every day posting, liking, and commenting, hoping to 'cash in' and earn some Yap points, while also grabbing some airdrops (like community distributions of KAITO tokens). What’s the result? After a busy day, I have few points and the airdrops don't come my way. What's more frustrating is that all my interactions are just helping big Vs gain traffic and rankings, while I get nothing in return. I feel like a free laborer!

Harm: Ordinary users waste their efforts and are fed 'traffic' to big Vs by the platform, losing out tremendously.

6. Short-term airdrop hunting, the platform is full of speculation

Yaps and Yapper Launchpad are turning into a 'airdrop competition', everyone (including me) is eyeing those possible rewards (like the 10% community distribution of KAITO tokens), posting is not about sharing knowledge, but about making quick money. The platform is also fanning the flames, promoting things like 'Early Bird badges', making the community full of speculation, with no one caring about long-term development.

Harm: Ordinary users chase after tweets, with no one doing real building, in the end they might get nothing, and the community has changed character.

7. Anger: Rating monopoly pits project parties, ordinary users get even less

Originally, other project parties could set their own rules, like assessing user contributions based on interaction volume and post quality, and distribute rewards more fairly. But now it's all up to Kaito AI's ratings! If they say your contribution is small, you get nothing, and project parties have to listen to them, clearly being squeezed by Kaito AI. To save costs, the reward pool is shrinking, leaving even less for ordinary users. More similar platforms are following suit; over time, will they monopolize the entire circle?

Harm: Kaito AI card rating, project parties give fewer rewards, ordinary users get nothing, and have to watch the platform slowly monopolize the market.

So looking at it this way, Binance always considers us ordinary retail investors more. As long as you put in the effort, you can still get the returns you deserve.
