New type of cyber attacks.. Hacking attempts targeting major cryptocurrency exchanges
The platforms Binance and Kraken, two of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, recently faced hacking attempts through social engineering attacks, similar to the attack that led to a significant data breach at Coinbase, according to a Bloomberg report citing informed sources.
The hackers attempted to reach customer service employees at both companies through bribery and detailed instructions to communicate with the attackers via the Telegram app. However, both Binance and Kraken managed to thwart these attempts without any loss of customer data,
