Lauren Simmons – The Youngest Female Trader at the NYSE
At just 22 years old, Lauren Simmons became the youngest and only full-time female trader at the New York Stock Exchange in 2017. She was also the only Black woman working on the floor at the time.
Coming from a genetics background with no trading experience, she took a bold leap, learned fast, and passed a tough trading exam on her first try—something only 20% do.
