Foresight News reports that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin published an article proposing adjustments to the L1 scaling roadmap to support local node operations, addressing the increased difficulty of running full nodes due to the increased L1 gas fee limitations. He suggested prioritizing the release of EIP-4444, which would shorten the historical data storage period for nodes to 36 days to reduce disk space requirements; building a distributed historical storage solution; and adjusting gas fee pricing to make storage more expensive and execution cheaper. Additionally, he introduced the concept of 'partial stateless nodes', allowing nodes to validate the blockchain while storing only partial state, thereby meeting user privacy and censorship resistance needs.
