This guy—Laszlo Hanyecz—made history without even knowing it.

Back in 2010, he posted on a forum:

“I’ll give 10,000 $BTC for two pizzas.”

At the time, those 10,000 bitcoins were worth just around $25.

Someone accepted the offer, ordered two Papa John’s pizzas, and had them delivered to Laszlo’s home in Florida.

Laszlo transferred the $BTC using a command-line wallet—marking the world’s first real-world transaction with Bitcoin.

🍕 Two pizzas.

💸 10,000 $BTC .

📅 Value today? Nearly $1 billion (with Bitcoin hovering around $100,000).

Now, May 22 is celebrated as Bitcoin Pizza Day—a symbol of how far crypto has come… and how costly hindsight can be.

Can Laszlo ever forgive himself?

Maybe. Maybe not.

But one thing’s for sure:

He holds the title for eating the most expensive lunch in history. 💔
