Hello everyone, I am Paul. Welcome to Paul’s Crypto Oddities. If you find Paul’s insights helpful, please give a follow; I continuously share blockchain technology insights daily!

1. Current phenomena in alpha.

In the past few days, we all know that alpha has started a trading competition, with participating coins being: #AIOT #MYX #ZKJ . If you don’t know where to find them, you can check the places below:

Because these coins are all on the BSC chain, when you trade, you can not only get double trading volume to earn higher points but also receive trading rewards from several coins. Currently, many people are trading here, and I’d like to offer a few suggestions:

  1. Because there are many traps on the BSC chain, it is not recommended for everyone to reduce the frequency of trading for convenience and directly enter with large amounts; you are very likely to get caught in a trap, resulting in greater slippage. Therefore, it is recommended to trade in small amounts to reduce slippage.

  2. Focus on trading the coins for the trading competition, and the suggested key trading times are from 8 AM to 9 AM and from 9 PM to 10 PM, because there are more people at this time, and liquidity is relatively higher. Why? Because at this time, there are a lot of people, and many are not full-time traders; they can only complete their daily trading volume task during early mornings or after work breaks.

  3. The suggested trading volume for everyone is 16384, and the currently offered points are 15, which is quite good. Plan well; the slippage is at 0.01, and the average slippage is around 4-5 U.

2. Why do some people suggest you directly swap B2 for MYX?

Recently, I've seen a trend in the industry using B2 to swap MYX; do you know why?

First, let's look at the diagram below; Paul will explain everything to you one by one:

Let's not start with something mystical that sounds vague; I’ll simply explain some concepts for you to understand.

In fact, the most important aspect here is the trading path; notice that the above trading path uses the PCS Hub (which is PancakeSwap), but we can't see the details here, so let's discuss this path.

2.1 What is a trading path?

A trading path refers to the order of exchanges between tokens when performing swaps on a DEX. Transactions on DEX are typically based on liquidity pools; if there is no direct pool for A-D, it needs to be routed through other tokens.

For example: If you want to swap Token A for Token D, but there is no trading pair for A-D on the DEX, possible paths could be:

Token A → Token B → Token C → Token D

This path includes three intermediary trading pools (A-B, B-C, C-D), and the entire chain combination is referred to as a 'trading path'.

2.2 How are paths generally chosen?

Most DEX aggregators (like 1inch, Matcha) or more complex DEXs (like Uniswap v3/v4, Balancer) will consider multiple factors when choosing a path:

  • Minimum slippage: The deeper the path, the larger the slippage; but if the intermediate tokens have good liquidity, the slippage can also be very small.

  • Optimal price: Finding the path with the lowest exchange cost.

  • Gas cost: The more complex the path, the higher the on-chain execution cost.

  • Multi-path diversion: Some aggregators will split the transaction into multiple parts along different paths to achieve the best average price.

Now, here comes a question: Is there a pool for B2->MYX (each trading pair forms a pool (Pair))?

It’s clear that there isn’t one, right? So what to do? Do we need to route through first B2->WBNB/BNB->MYX? Now, is the path like this? We don't know; so how to verify? Paul has done a verification here.

B2->MYX
BNB->B2

Isn't this just like what we mentioned above, following the path B2->WBNB/BNB->MYX?

Then we can understand the above:

  1. Because the path is designed for BNB swap MYX, this also counts as trading volume, and we can also earn trading points.

  2. At the same time, we have also sold B2.

However, there is a significant issue with depth; if the depth of the coins you choose is insufficient, it can also lead to significant slippage.

So after watching, do you understand why choosing B2-MYX also counts as trading volume? It’s essentially a matter of trading path.
