It is a one-stop platform company for short drama production, manufacturing, and distribution, having completed its angel round of investment in 2022. Starting in 2023, Jiuzhou Culture began to layout the overseas market, launching overseas short drama applications such as 99TV and Short TV, and has now become a leading player in the overseas short drama market.

On May 9, Jiuzhou Culture announced that three employees, including Liu Molong from the original overseas department, had been subjected to criminal coercive measures. In the notice, Jiuzhou Culture also stated that from this day forward, the company would establish an 'Integrity Compliance Committee' responsible for building the company's integrity compliance system.

Regarding this matter, on the 12th, a reporter from Shangguan News called Jiuzhou Culture, and the staff confirmed the authenticity of the document circulating online. When asked whether a 'Integrity Compliance Committee' had been established, the staff responded, 'The document mentions this, so the company should be planning it.' Regarding more details of the case, the staff stated that they could not disclose any information externally.

On May 13, the company's staff told the Southern Metropolis Daily reporter, 'It's not convenient to disclose specific details at this time, this matter will not affect the company's drama broadcasts.'

Shangguan News reporters noted that in June last year, the State Administration of Radio and Television's Network Audio-Visual Department conducted a discussion with Jiuzhou Culture regarding the violations of network micro-short dramas (Boss, your daughter has been badly bullied by her mother-in-law), believing that the drama contained vulgar plots, deliberately exaggerated and portrayed conflicts between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law, and between men and women, spread statements that violated public order and morals, and exaggerated bloody violence among multiple violations. In response to the problems with this drama, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Film, and Television imposed administrative penalties on Jiuzhou Culture on June 5 of last year, ordering the complete removal and permanent sealing of the violating micro-short drama from the internet, suspending updates to the Xingya short drama app under Jiuzhou Culture for one week, and conducting a comprehensive self-inspection and cleanup of all online content.

Jiuzhou Culture also issued a statement in response, stating that after investigation, the drama was produced by a third party, Suzhou Kunmeng Culture, and distributed by Jiuzhou Culture. However, due to lapses in process control, content review, and chief editor management, the drama was included in the company's library without strict review, ultimately going online on major platforms and causing adverse social reactions. The company has dismissed the main responsible personnel for content review and replaced members of the related review team.
