Expert Says Most People Will NEVER Own as Much as 1,000 XRP
Crypto founder Edoardo Farina believes owning a portfolio of 1,000 XRP will remain out of reach for the average investor.
In a recent tweet, Farina claimed that many XRP holders may never come close to accumulating 1,000 tokens. With XRP currently priced around $2.40, that portfolio would now be worth about $2,400 — a figure many investors either can’t afford or won’t risk on one coin.
Just seven months ago, in November 2024, the same amount of XRP could’ve been bought for just $490 when the token was trading below $0.50. Since then, the price has jumped more than 5x.

Over 5 Million Wallets Hold Less Than 1,000 XRP
Data from the XRP Rich List backs up Farina’s bold statement. Out of roughly 6.478 million wallets, more than 5 million hold less than 500 XRP.
2.734 million wallets hold between 0 and 20 XRP (42% of holders)
2.517 million wallets hold between 20 and 500 XRP (38.85% of holders)
That means about 5.25 million wallets, or 81%, hold between 0–500 XRP. As prices rise, the number of holders with 1,000+ XRP is expected to decline even more, leading experts to say that regular retail investors are being priced out.

Despite this, XRP believers still push the idea that owning 1,000 XRP could be a key milestone.
Some analysts even suggest this amount could lead to financial freedom by 2029, just four years from now. If XRP ever hits $100, that portfolio becomes worth $100,000 — a life-changing sum for many.
Even more bullish forecasts suggest XRP could one day reach $1,000, which would make a 1,000 XRP holder a millionaire.
