In 2022 I was doing PE business strategy and my boss asked me, “if I gave you a dollar how would you invest it to give me the best return?” He was asking about our operations, wanting me to discuss production or retail, but I said, “put it in bitcoin”. We laughed but it was one of those sobering laughs, he knew crypto, he understood. It gave me a mindset I couldn’t ever change, and idk if this is healthy or not but if the goal of business is to make money why not cut out all the bullshit, the products, the people, the politics, the never ending headaches and just trade? Click buttons -> money. No progress reports, no one to answer to, etc etc. Not great for being a productive member of society but damn it’s efficient.
