Disrupt your perception! Do you understand the power consumption of Bitcoin mining?!!
Currently, approximately 450 Bitcoins are mined daily, worth around 350 million, but over 90% of the costs are electricity, burning 300 million in electricity costs every day. In Myanmar, it takes 556 days for a mining machine to mine one Bitcoin, costing only 0.48 dollars a day in electricity; but in South Korea, it costs 26,200 dollars in electricity, a staggering difference!
Over a year, Bitcoin mining consumes more electricity than the entire Netherlands, enough for a whole year for Argentina. Global mining machines consume up to 150 terawatt-hours daily, which is simply an energy black hole.
Although it has stirred up waves in the financial sector, is such massive energy consumption truly worth it? In the current energy crisis, should such "digital games" be re-evaluated? $BTC
