#BitcoinPizzaDay
There is a historical event in Bitcoin.
Bitcoin, which is currently worth over $100,000 at 1 BTC, was created on November 1, 2008, by a person under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. It was supposedly created to help alleviate the economic crisis of 2008.
Bitcoin was launched by distributing a detailed whitepaper, along with the introduction of a new digital currency system that could be exchanged directly without intermediaries, to a single Cryptography Mailing List.
When Bitcoin was first created, it was given away for free in an app. At that time, the value of Bitcoin was zero ($0). Only a few hobbyists were collecting it, and no one was willing to trade it.
On May 17, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz, a resident of Florida, USA, announced that he would give him 10,000 Bitcoins if he could deliver two pizzas to him.
On May 22, a 19-year-old student named Jeremy Sturdivant paid 10,000 Bitcoins for two pizzas delivered to him.
This marked the first time a transaction was made using Bitcoin (BTC).
To commemorate this event, May 22nd is now designated as Bitcoin Pizza Day and it is said that on that day, cryptocurrency enthusiasts from all over the world celebrate by eating pizza.
