Bitcoin’s Growth Rate Expected to Stabilize at 8%, Still a Top Long-Term Performer
According to ChainCatcher, crypto analyst Willy Woo believes Bitcoin has entered a new "institutional phase" of its market evolution. Once known for its explosive annual returns of over 100%, Bitcoin’s compound growth rate has cooled to around 30–40% and is projected to gradually stabilize near 8% annually.
Woo highlights that Bitcoin is steadily maturing into a macro asset, attracting global capital in the process. While its growth may slow, he argues that few—if any—assets can rival Bitcoin’s long-term performance. He also notes that it could take another 15–20 years for Bitcoin to reach a state of long-term equilibrium.
Despite the deceleration, Woo sees Bitcoin maintaining its status as one of the strongest-performing assets over the long haul.
