Texas Bitcoin Reserve Bill to be reviewed again on May 20
The Texas State Legislature is advancing bill SB21 to create the Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, set for a second review on May 20. If passed, Texas will join New Hampshire and Arizona in establishing a Bitcoin reserve. The bill allows the state comptroller to create a special fund to purchase digital assets valued over $500 billion, initially limited to Bitcoin. Funding may come from various sources, and reserve assets will be stored in cold wallets under the supervision of an advisory committee.
