She is the richest woman in Australia and a fierce businesswoman who has shown with her aggressive style who is in charge of Aussie mining. Now her attention has turned to the other side of the Pacific. Gina Rinehart, the Iron Lady of the country-continent, has doubled her bet on Wall Street and at this moment her company, Hancock Prospecting, has a portfolio valued at 2.5 billion dollars in North American equities. Rinehart has increased her positions by over 1 billion dollars during the first quarter of this year, according to Bloomberg.

The bulk of Rinehart's purchases have been concentrated just before the stock markets fell with Donald Trump's tariff announcements. Most of the new investment has been allocated to acquiring tracking indices of the main selective indexes: Nasdaq 100, S&P 500, and Dow Jones Industrial. The businesswoman has also bought shares of Etsy and PayPal. On the other hand, she closed positions in four oil companies, including Chevron and Exxon Mobil, which at the end of 2024 totaled 109 million dollars.
