Where is the bottleneck in the user growth of Web3?

Web3 is hailed as the next revolution of the internet, but the growth rate of users is far behind expectations. Where exactly is the problem?

First, the high barrier to entry is the biggest obstacle. Wallet management, private key protection, and Gas fee payment are complex and difficult for ordinary users to accept. Many would rather continue using traditional centralized applications than risk trying new technologies.

Second, the user experience is poor. The confirmation time for blockchain transactions is long, the interface is complicated and lacks unified standards, leading to a severe loss of new users. In comparison, Web2 applications are smooth and convenient, making it hard for users to change their habits.

Third, there is a lack of killer applications. Most Web3 projects are still in the exploratory stage and have not produced truly popular products that can attract a large number of ordinary users.

Finally, the barriers of community culture and values also affect user expansion. Web3 emphasizes decentralization and self-sovereignty, but these concepts are difficult for non-technical users to understand and accept.

In summary, the bottleneck in Web3 user growth is a combined result of technical barriers, experience differences, lack of hit products, and cultural gaps. To break these bottlenecks in the future, we must innovate at the underlying technology level and simultaneously educate users.
