#BinancePizza
In 2010, a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz unknowingly made history with a simple forum post:💸☠️💵
“I’ll pay 10,000 BTC for two pizzas.”🍕🍕
At the time, 10,000 bitcoins were worth just $25. Another forum user accepted the offer, ordered two Papa John’s pizzas, and had them delivered to Laszlo in Florida.
Laszlo sent the bitcoin using a basic command-line wallet—and with that, the first real-world crypto transaction was born.
Two pizzas.
10,000 $BTC
Today’s value? Around $1 billion. (With Bitcoin trading near $100,000.)
Since then, May 22 has been celebrated as Bitcoin Pizza Day—a tribute to how far crypto has come... and a reminder of how expensive a slice of history can be.
Can Laszlo ever truly forgive himself?
Who knows.
But one thing’s certain: very few people have ever eaten a $1 billion lunch.💸☠️💵
