#EthereumSecurityInitiative Ethereum Launches Trillion Dollar Security Initiative
On May 14, 2025, the Ethereum Foundation rolled out the "Trillion Dollar Security Initiative" (1TS), a major effort to strengthen Ethereum’s security as it scales to support trillions in assets and billions of users.
The initiative includes three phases: identifying key risks in smart contracts, wallets, and consensus systems; implementing security upgrades and education; and promoting transparency through security benchmarks.
Through its Ecosystem Support Program, the Foundation is also funding projects like CertiK’s zkEVM verification and launching the Pectra Proactive Grant Round to prepare for upcoming upgrades.
Smart contract audits remain crucial, with firms like Cyfrin, Pessimistic.io, and BlockApex helping prevent exploits and boost confidence across the ecosystem.
