#BinancePizza
In 2010, a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz unknowingly made crypto history.
He posted on a forum:
“I’ll trade 10,000 BTC for two pizzas.”
At the time, that stash of Bitcoin was worth about $25.
One fellow forum user took him up on the offer and ordered two Papa John’s pizzas delivered to Laszlo’s home in Florida.
Laszlo sent over the Bitcoin—10,000 BTC—using a simple command-line transaction.
Fast forward to today:
10,000 BTC = ~$1 billion (with BTC hovering near $100K).
May 22 is now known as Bitcoin Pizza Day, a celebration of how far crypto has come—and a reminder of the value of vision... and the sting of hindsight.
Does Laszlo regret it?
Maybe. Maybe not.
But one thing’s clear:
Most people will never know what it’s like to eat a $1 billion lunch.
