#BinancePizza $BTC

  • Binance is celebrating Bitcoin Pizza Day with various initiatives for Spanish-speaking users and globally. This day commemorates the first known transaction in which Bitcoin was used to purchase a physical good: two pizzas for 10,000 BTC on May 22, 2010.

Here I summarize the main activities that Binance has underway (keep in mind that some promotions have deadlines):

Current Promotions (May 2025):

* Refer friends and earn pizza boxes: For every friend who registers on Binance through your link, completes KYC verification, deposits, and trades at least 200 USD, both will receive a 'pizza box' worth up to 20 USD in BTC. Each user can earn up to 15 boxes. The top 100 referrers will share an additional prize of 50,000 USD in BTC. This promotion runs from May 15 to May 28, 2025 (UTC).

* Post on Binance Square with #BinancePizza: New users of Binance Square who complete certain tasks can earn 50 Binance points and share 5,000 USDC in token coupons. All Square users who create a post with the hashtag #BinancePizza can share 1,000 USDC. This activity also takes place from May 15 to May 28, 2025 (UTC).

* In-person events: Binance is organizing meetups in several cities in Latin America, including Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Medellín, and Mexico City. These events offer learning, free pizza, and the opportunity to win exclusive giveaways.

* Binance Live: On May 22, Binance leaders will join the community in a live stream to talk about the evolution of Bitcoin, the future of cryptocurrencies, and the significance of Bitcoin Pizza Day.

* Other activities: There are also giveaways and other promotions on social media platforms like X, Facebook, Telegram, Discord, and WhatsApp using the hashtag #BinancePizza.

What is Bitcoin Pizza Day?

On May 22, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 Bitcoins for two pizzas. At that time, the value of Bitcoin was very low (around $41 for the two pizzas). Today, those 10,000 BTC would be worth an astronomical sum, over a billion dollars! This event is celebrated annually as 'Bitcoin Pizza Day' to commemorate the first time Bitcoin was used for a real-world transaction and to reflect on the incredible growth of cryptocurrencies.

Binance celebrates this day to remember this milestone and to engage with its community, both online and in person, offering various activities and rewards related to pizza and Bitcoin.

If you're interested in participating in any of the promotions, I recommend visiting the Binance blog or their social media for specific details and participation links. It's an opportunity to celebrate the history of cryptocurrencies and perhaps win some BTC!
