#EthereumSecurityInitiative – Trillion Dollar Security Initiative (1TS)

The Ethereum Foundation has launched the Trillion Dollar Security Initiative (1TS)—a multi-year effort to enhance the security of Ethereum’s infrastructure, ensuring it can support a global, trillion-dollar economy.

Key Objectives:

Improve Smart Contract Security

Develop robust auditing tools and best practices to ensure reliable smart contracts.

Strengthen Ecosystem Resilience

Enhance the security of Ethereum’s core infrastructure, wallets, and user-facing tools.

Promote Security Awareness

Educate developers, users, and institutions on security best practices.

Establish Security Standards

Define and promote industry-grade security standards for Ethereum dApps and protocols.

Three-Phase Strategy:

1. Security Assessment

Identify vulnerabilities across Ethereum’s protocol, clients, L2s, and major smart contracts.

2. Remediation

Partner with ecosystem developers to fix identified issues.

3. Community Engagement & Education

Share insights, tools, and educational content to raise overall security literacy.

Vision:

Billions of people can safely hold $1,000+ in on-chain assets.

Organizations can confidently manage $1 trillion in smart contracts.
