#EthereumSecurityInitiative Ethereum Strengthens Defense: Global Security Initiative Launched.

Ethereum is maturing — and, as a mature platform should, it is now focusing not only on scalability but also on security. The developer community and key ecosystem participants have launched the Ethereum Security Initiative — a large-scale program aimed at protecting users and smart contracts.

The goal is simple: to make Web3 safer for everyone — from newcomers to institutional investors. As part of the initiative, the efforts of auditors, researchers, white-hat hackers, and DeFi project teams will be combined to create best practices, tools, and security infrastructure.

A special emphasis is placed on prevention: not just fixing hacks after the fact, but preventing vulnerabilities before they lead to millions of dollars in losses.

The project has already received support from major players in the ecosystem: Consensys, Trail of Bits, OpenZeppelin, and others are ready to share their expertise and tools.

Ethereum has long been home to billions of dollars, and now, with a new level of protection, it is taking another step towards the status of the financial platform of the future — reliable, open, and secure.
