$ETH
What is $ETH?
ETH (Ether) is the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain, a decentralized platform that enables smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps). Created by Vitalik Buterin and launched in 2015, Ethereum allows developers to build and deploy applications without relying on centralized servers. ETH is used to pay for transaction fees and computational services on the network, often referred to as “gas.” Unlike Bitcoin, which is primarily a digital currency, Ethereum supports programmable contracts, making it a foundation for DeFi, NFTs, and more. ETH also functions as a store of value and investment asset, with strong influence in the crypto ecosystem.
