The Ethereum Security Initiative, officially known as Trillion Dollar Security (1TS), is a long-term program launched by the Ethereum Foundation on May 14, 2025. The main goal of this initiative is to enhance the security standards of Ethereum to safeguard digital assets worth trillions of dollars, both for individual users and large institutions.
Goals and Vision
Trillion Dollar Security aims to create an Ethereum infrastructure strong enough that:
Billions of users feel secure storing over $1,000 on-chain.
Organizations and governments confidently store up to $1 trillion in a single smart contract or decentralized application.
Thus, Ethereum is expected to become a global financial infrastructure that is equivalent to or even surpasses traditional financial systems in terms of security and reliability.
