Bitcoin Pizza Day is held on May 22nd. Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency created in 2009 following the idea of a mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto. On that day, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas at a local restaurant in Florida, for which he spent 10,000 Bitcoins! It is considered the first official use of Bitcoin for a commercial transaction with an actual company.
