This man, his name is Laszlo Hanyecz, sold 10,000 $BTC to get two pizzas.

He posted on a forum: “I will pay 10,000 BTC for two pizzas.”

At that time, that amount was really just pocket change, around 25 dollars or a little more. Another forum user eventually accepted, ordered two nice pizzas from Papa John’s, and had them delivered to Laszlo's home in Florida.

Laszlo transferred his 10,000 bitcoins via the newly released command line wallet, and voilà, he had his lunch.

Fast forward a few years, and those 10,000 BTC are now worth tens of millions of dollars. Every day on May 22 is now celebrated as “Bitcoin Pizza Day,” a playful tribute to the first real-world transaction in cryptocurrency.

Remember, $BTC is currently trading at around 100,000 dollars 💔$BTC
