The mobile-first blockchain project Pi Network has unveiled a $100 million venture fund to support projects building on its platform.
In a May 14 announcement, the Pi Foundation introduced Pi Network Ventures, which will allocate $100 million—comprising both Pi (PI) tokens and U.S. dollars—to back startups and businesses enhancing the Pi ecosystem.
In a post on X, Pi Network stated that the initiative aims to "invest in high-quality startups across various sectors, fostering innovation and ecosystem expansion."
According to the foundation, which operates as an “ownerless” organization dedicated to long-term ecosystem growth, the fund will be sourced from the 10% of Pi tokens set aside for ecosystem development.
