According to Foresight News, the Ethereum Foundation has announced the launch of the 'Trillion Dollar Security Plan', aimed at enhancing the security of the Ethereum protocol through funding research, development, and auditing. The project will initially be co-led by Protocol Security Manager Fredrik Svantes and Josh Stark from the EF management team.
The plan will support security improvements for key clients, formal verification, fuzz testing, vulnerability bounty programs, and community security education. As the Ethereum ecosystem continues to expand, the foundation emphasizes the importance of ensuring the robustness and attack resistance of the protocol.
Funding for the program will be provided through the Ethereum Ecosystem Support Program (ESP), encouraging global researchers and developers to participate in this work.
