The cryptocurrency market started the week on a high, with Bitcoin rising above $102,000 during the Asian trading session after news of a 90-day tax pause between the United States and China. However, the price increase did not last.
As the New York trading session opened, Bitcoin fell sharply, hitting a daily low of $100,700 and erasing most of the initial gains. Traders became cautious ahead of important macro events, especially the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) data to be released on Tuesday.
