Deep Tide TechFlow News, on May 15, reported by Tech Funding News, that the U.S. AI video generation platform Hedra announced the completion of a $32 million Series A funding round, led by Andreessen Horowitz's infrastructure fund, with continued participation from early investors like Index Ventures and Abstract. This brings Hedra's total funding to $43 million.
Hedra's Character-3 foundational model can integrate text, images, and audio to create high-quality, character-driven video content. The company plans to use the new funds to expand its team (expected to grow from 20 to 60 people by the end of the year), enhance model performance, and optimize enterprise-level video production processes.
Founder and CEO Michael Lingelbach stated that Hedra aims to solve the high costs and slow speeds of traditional video production, enabling marketing teams to quickly respond to market trends and efficiently create video content that aligns with brand tone.
