House Democrats have started an investigation into Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency projects over suspicions of financial misconduct and foreign influence.
The investigation concerns World Liberty Financial, the TRUMP and MELANIA tokens, and their connections to questionable investors.
In a letter to the Treasury Department dated May 14, 2025, lawmakers requested all reports of suspicious activity related to these assets.
One of the key figures has been Justin Sun, who invested $75 million in WLF before the SEC suspended its investigation against him.
