Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas, whose wealth is estimated at $5.8 billion, has announced that 70% of his investment portfolio consists of Bitcoin. The remaining 30% is allocated to gold and shares of gold mining companies, while he has completely abandoned bonds and other stocks, except for his own companies. Salinas shared this information in an interview with Bloomberg on March 4, 2025.
Salinas, known for his support of cryptocurrencies, noted that just three years ago his investments in Bitcoin were only 10%, but now he has become a true "Bitcoin loyalist". He sees Bitcoin as an asset with a fixed supply and long-term value. His advice to investors: "Buy Bitcoin on dips and think 10 years ahead, as it is a limited asset. Use a dollar-cost averaging strategy every month to reduce uncertainty."
This move by the billionaire underscores the growing trust in cryptocurrencies among large investors, despite market volatility. Salinas continues to inspire others with his example.
