Regulation of cryptocurrencies in Ukraine
The cryptocurrency bill is blocked: The Office of the President of Ukraine has removed the bill on the regulation and taxation of cryptocurrencies from consideration. According to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the document has been withdrawn indefinitely.
Criticism from the NCCPFR: The National Commission on Securities and Stock Market (NCCPFR) expressed disagreement with bill No. 10225-d, noting that it does not align with Ukraine's Euro-integration path and hinders the creation of an effective regulatory model for the virtual assets market.
Plans to create a crypto reserve: In early February 2025, Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced the preparation of a legislative initiative to create a national crypto reserve, but details have not yet been disclosed.
