At Consensus 2025 in Toronto, Bo Hines — a top White House official — said President Trump is still on track to sign key crypto legislation before Congress breaks in August.
Despite a few recent delays, talks around stablecoin and market structure laws are moving forward. Hines, who heads the President’s Council of Advisers on Digital Assets, said, “Negotiations are ongoing, but I’m confident we’ll get it done. The President wants this.”
He also dismissed concerns about conflicts of interest tied to Trump’s personal crypto ventures, calling them a non-issue.
Long story short: crypto regulation is heating up, and we could see real action by summer.
