On May 22, 2010, a programmer named Laszlo posted an ad on a forum, offering 10,000 Bitcoins for two slices of pizza.
Someone agreed, and Laszlo got his meal, and the world witnessed the first real transaction using Bitcoin.
Since that day, what we now know as "Bitcoin Pizza Day" was born.
Laszlo wasn't concerned about the future value of Bitcoin; he just wanted to prove that digital currency could be used as real money.
